32,679 constable recruitment exam date announced in UP: written exam will be held for three days in June; Know the category wise passing number
32,679 constable recruitment in UP- 2025 exam dates have been announced. According to the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), the exam will be conducted in June 2026. The board has issued its official notice on Tuesday evening.
According to the notice, the written exam will be held on June 8, June 9 and June 10. The examination will be conducted in 2 separate shifts each day.
The recruitment board said- Candidates keep checking the uppbpb.gov.in website regularly for admit card, examination center and other necessary instructions. All the important information related to the exam will be released only on the official portal. Candidates are advised to avoid any kind of rumor or unofficial information.
Application process till 30th January
The recruitment board had issued a notification on 31 December 2025 for 32,679 constable and equivalent posts. The application process started from 31 December 2025 to 30 January 2026.
What is the syllabus, how many numbers will the exam be?
The written exam will be of 300 marks. 150 questions will be asked in 2 hours. Each question will be of 2 marks. The system of negative marking has been abolished. Minimum passing marks i.e. minimum numbers to pass are also prescribed.

Candidates who clear the written exam will be able to appear in the physical test. The marks of the written examination will also be added to the final merit. However, UPPRPB has prescribed the minimum passing marks for appearing in the written test to appear in the physical test.
General: 30 percent (90 marks out of 300)
EWS: 25 percent (75 marks out of 300)
OBC: 25 percent (75 marks out of 300)
SC/ST: 20 percent (60 marks out of 300)
On the evening of December 31, the Yogi government had issued a notification for direct recruitment to 32,679 posts. Apart from the Civil Police, these included the posts of PAC, Special Security Force i.e. SSF, Women Battalion, Mounted Police and Jail Warder.
10,469 female and male candidates will be recruited in Civil Police. While 15,131 posts are vacant for men in PAC. UP SSF has 1341 vacancies for male candidates.
